July 2011 - Still not sure if I should post this review or keep this lovely site to ourselves.

"I am not sure if I really want to share this campsite. We spent 4 nights here - having only planned a quick one or two night stay. It ticked every box for us. Not too big, generous pitches, clean loos and showers(if a little tight on space!). But it was so much more than that. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming - not easy when the camp site is full. Really fresh baguettes and croissants every morning and there was even a pizza van with a real pizza oven on a couple of nights. Seafood could be ordered on certain evenings and a butcher's van and veg stall also appeared on Friday. You are 500m from a SuperU, but still incredibly rural and just 800m from some lovely beaches with kayaks and boats to hire and sweet restaurants. We hired bikes for all the family and the bike routes were incredibly well signed and laid out - the UK could learn a thing or two from the Bretons. Pretty fishing ports and historic harbours abound in the area. There was a fantastic children's playground on the campsite and all our neighbours were incredibly friendly - one French family even driving out to our stranded 1970s VW camper and helping us jump start it, then waving us off at some unearthly hour on the Saturday morning. HOWEVER, this is probably not a campsite for teenagers - a number of them looked pretty bored wandering around in the evening or gaming near the WIFI hotspot. There are no organised activities, though many get together to play boules in the evening. I would not change this as the slow pace and friendliness of the campsite probably made it for us. We were a family group - kids' age range 5 - 11. Still not sure if I should post this review or keep this lovely site to ourselves. "

03/08/2010 - Nice quiet place

"A large and clean place with a lovely beach close to the site. Excellent service. They spoke English and French. The owners are French/British with two kids. They gave us some brochures with information about swimming schedules. You will know when you're able to swim in the sea. Good food in the area, reasonable prices. A great place for people who like to fish."

27/08/2010 - Friendly reception

"A very friendly and helpful reception. The site is very well maintained, and nicely landscaped with many interesting plants and trees. Its worth spending a few days on this restfull site near the sea, with places to visit nearby. "

26/08/2010 - A friend's garden

"A beautiful and peaceful camp site. We felt very much at home there and will certainly return. It was like camping in a friend's garden. "

01/08/10 - We'd definitely go back there...

"We stayed here at the beginning of August for 6 nights and thought it was a fab site. It's just a short walk through the woods from a great beach (don't be put off if you see it for the first time when the tide is out; just enjoy the rock pools! And turn right, not left when you get there). Really nice staff, masses of loos and showers, all kept spotlessly clean, good washing up area. Great playground, which our kids loved and which helpfully shut down at about 9pm (insofar as the bouncy castle thing was deflated). Good area too - not too busy, many many lovely beaches to visit, and lovely calm sea for swimming. Definitely visit the castle nearby (though walking there is harder than the map suggests.). We really struggled to get our kids out of the medieval costumes at the end of the day! There was a very unobtrusive musical event one evening and a crepe van a few times, but otherwise this is a very nice, quiet site. Lovely, in fact. We'd definitely go back there, if we were planning to visit that area again. "

14/04/2009 - Excellent friendly site

"We visited this site for the first time in April this year, having been caravaning in France for over 10 years. It is one of he nicest sites we have stayed on, the welcome included information on local attractions and events. There are numerous cycle tracks in the area and the beach is only 800 metres from the site. The site offers cycles for hire and provides free maps and wifi. Sailing boats are avalable to hire at the beach and there are several local markets. The owners speak excellant English and were very helpfull with any requests. "
